9th -10th February 1985 , 30 foreign students from Mauritius, Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago studying in Delhi University were taken to Haridwar-Rishikesh
9th & 10th March 1985, 32 foreign students visited Mathura, Vrindavan & Agra
The students in this group were from Mauritius, Kenya, South Africa Holland, Malaysia & Thailand.
9th November 1985 Diwali Eve Get-together was organized by the ARSP in the Tagore Hall, of Delhi University for foreign students. Large number of foreign students participated in the programme. Cultural programme was performed by the foreign students. After cultural programme students joined Aatisbaji followed by tea & snacks.
ARSP in its 5th meeting of its Executive Committee in 1984 decided that 15 members each will adopt two foreign students and invite them on all festivals and special occasions and this scheme was implemented with our members for two –three years. .A new bond of friendship and brotherly feeling was created among the students.
In September 1985 37 students of Mauritius, Fiji, Guyana , Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Sri Lanka, visited Kedarnath & Badrinath
19th to 23rd June 1986 foreign students were taken to Nainital, Kaushani & Almora 24 students from six countries participated in it.
29-30th November 1986. Kurukshetra, Chandigarh & Pinjore Gardens 27 foreign students from six countries participated in it.
On 8th November 1988 a programme on Diwali Eve for foreign students was organised in the Azad Bhawan Hall of ICCR.
Special arrengements for foreign students were made to celebrate the Dipawali in Indian families. Students from Italy, China, France studying in Central Hindi Institute also joined.
14th -15th January 1989 Haridwar-Rishikesh. Students from Guyana, Trinidad, Mauritius, Burma, Sri Lanka and Korea took part in this programme.
25-26th February 1989 Kurukshetra, Chandigarh & Pinjore Gardens was organised in co-operation with the I.C.C.R. 26 foreign students from ten countries.
28th October 1989 Diwali Eve Get-together for foreing students was organised in the Azad Bhawan in co-operation with ICCR Shri I.B.Mantra Ambassador of Indonesia Republic in India was the Chief Guest.
January 27th 1991, Delhi sight seeing tour was organized in which 30 foreign students from Mauritius, Nepal, Bhutan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Fiji, Guyana, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh & Maldives participated. They went to Red Fort, Qutab Minar, Chatarpur Temple, Lotus Temple etc.
Visit of Haridwar & Rishikesh for 3 days (5th to 7th October 1991) This visit was organised in co-operation with the ICCR. About 30 Students from Mauritius,Bangladesh, Japan, Sri Lanka and other countries participated in it.
29th December 1991 to 2nd January 1992. Shimla, Kurukshetra & Chandigarh 31 students took part in this programme.
2nd November 1991 Diwali Eve Get-together was organised at the Azad Bhawan. High Commissioner of Trinidad & Tobago H.E.Shri Prem Chand Das was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
24th October 1992 Diwali celebrations with Shri Kumar Gaywali, Deputy Chief of Royal Nepal Embassy as the Chief Guest.
24-25th October 1993 Mathura & Agra 26 foreign students from Mauritius,Fiji,South Africa, China & Afghanistan visited Marthura & Agra.
21st October 2000 Delhi sight seeting tour was organised in which 27 students from Mauritius,Sri Lanka, Romania, South Korea & Kazakhiastan were taken to Red Fort, Qutab Minar, Chatterpur temple, Lotus Temple.
26th March 2002 on the occasion of Holi a Get-together programme was organised at Hindu College premises of Delhi University. The Chief Guest of the programme was Shri J.C.Sharma, Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs. 40 Foreign students participated from Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Korea.
14th August 2002 on the eve of Independence Day a get-together of Foreign students at Hans Raj College, Delhi University was organised. Shri Danee Lal Seewoo, then High Commissioner of Mauritius was the Chief Guest. Prof. A.S. Narag, Foreign Students Advisor,Delhi University was the Guest of Honour on the occasion.
KNOW INDIA PROGRAMME
In 2014 One of the initiatives taken by ARSP to facilitate the visits of young PIO delegates under Know India Programme ( KIP) .
10th January 2014 ARSP felicitated over 75 young delegates, who were part of the Youth PBD 2014 at Pravasi Bhawan. Shri Mahendra Choudhry former Prime Minister of Fiji was the Chief Guest of the function. The Heads of Mission of Mauritius & Fiji were the Guests of Honour. The programme was attended by Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs officials. Later on 23rd January 2014 34 PIO youth visited Delhi University and interacted with Principal faculty and students of Sri Ram College of Commerce.
25th June 2014, a full day programme was organized by ARSP for the next batch of KIP delegates. In the morning, they were taken to Akshardham temple which included 3 special shows pertaining to the cultural heritage of India. National Science Centre ,felicitation and interaction programme was organized at Pravasi Bhawan. Shri Satish C.Mehta, Director General, ICCR was the Chief Guest and Shri Arye Kumar Jagessur, High Commissioner of Mauritius was the Guest of Honour. The Deputy Chief of Mission and Charge D’ affairs from six countries Fiji, Israel, Myanmar, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago & Mauritius participated as special Guests. PIO students from Delhi University and youth activists were also present besides senior members of ARSP . The programme was very successful and the interaction was very useful.
16th September 2014 another batch of KIP visited ARSP headquarters Pravasi Bhawan. PIO youth were from 13 countries were present . This programme was presided by Ms.Ashna Kanhai, the Ambassador from Suriname . The Minister Counsellor, Embassy of Myanmar Mr. San Oomaung was also present.
27th December 2014, 30th batch of KIP group from 10 countries visited Pravasi Bhawan . A felicitation and interaction programme was organized in which all the participants shared the experience of their Indian visit.
21st January 2015 ,31st batch of Know India Programme and Francophone KIP, in which 43 PIO youth from 8 countries felicitated by ARSP had the privilege of interacting with Noble Laureate Shri Kailash Satyarthi Shri Virendra Gupta, former Indian High Commissioner in South Africa, H.E. Mrs. Aashna Kanhai, Ambassador of Suriname, were the Guest of Honour. Shri J. Nayeck, Charge D’ Affairs of High Commission of Mauritius and Mr. Haseeb Mohammed, of Trinidad & Tobago, Shri Sanjay Paswan, former Minister and Shri Ashwani Chobe, Member Rajya Sabha also graced the occasion. The programme was followed by a glittering cultural performance by Manipuri Marshal Art Dancer and a Punjabi Bhangra troupe.
18th July 2015 ,33rd batch of Know India Programme was organized at Pravasi Bhawan. 38 PIO youth from eight countries were felicitated. Shri Dinkar Asthana, Deputy Director General ICCR and Shri Om Prkash Goundar, Second Secretary (Culture) Fiji High Commission were the Guests of Honour.
6th September 2015 34th batch of Know India programme was organized by ARSP on Sunday in association with Asian Society of Film & Televison at Marwah Studio Complex , Noida.
6th September 2017, 41st Know India Programme ARSP organized a felicitation and interaction programme for PIO youth visiting India under 41st Know India Programme of the Ministry of External Affairs. The delegates were accorded traditional welcome at Pravasi Bhawan where they were also viewed an exhibition on the life & achievements of Girmitiyas. The formal felicitation programme was held at Malviya Smriti Bhawan. Heads of Missions and diplomats of seven countries Mauritius, Fiji, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Suriname, Netherlands and Sri Lanka and Shri Munish Gupta were the Guests of Honor in this programme.
15th September 2017 Besides KIP, ARSP organized a programme at Hansraj College for foreign students studying in Delhi University/NCR. This programme was organized to welcome and felicitate foreign students. Dr. Rama, Principal of Hansraj College was the Guest of Honour. The programme included cultural performances by the Indian and Foreign students.
22nd November 2017, 43rd Know India Programme was held at Malviya Smriti Bhawan. Heads of Missions from Trinidad & Tobago, Mauritius, Indonesia, Fiji, Israel, Malaysia were present besides Shri Atul Gotsurve Director ICCR .
20th December 2017 44thKnow India Programme was held at Pravasi Bhawan in which youths from Fiji, Guyana, Israel, Malaysia, Mauritius, Myanmar, South Africa, Suriname & Trinidad & Tobago.

On Monday, September 23, 2019, the Diaspora Research and Resource Centre (DRRC) of Antar Rashtriya Sahayog Parishad (ARSP) hosted 40 participants from the 55th KIP batch. These participants represented countries such as Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Mauritius, the Netherlands, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, South Africa, and Fiji. The program was divided into two sessions.
The first session, which took place at Pravasi Bhawan, focused on India’s efforts toward sustainable development. This included discussions on the country’s commitment to reducing carbon intensity, pollution mitigation measures, and the future of the blue economy, which is crucial for Small Island Developing States (SIDS). Participants were also introduced to the work of the DRRC and encouraged to engage with its initiatives online. A workshop conducted by the Vision India Foundation discussed the role of the "I-generation" in promoting sustainable development.
The second session was held at Hansraj College, University of Delhi, where the KIP participants interacted with over 400 students, including foreign nationals. This event, attended by diplomatic representatives, aimed to provide networking opportunities and insights into India’s economy, higher education, and democratic values. The program concluded with cultural performances, dinner, and a vote of thanks.
On 16 October 2019, 56th Know India Programme (KIP) joined with Antar Rashtriya Sahayog Parishad (ARSP) and we deeply value this gesture.

57th batch of Know India Programme was hosted at ARSP on 20 Nov, 2019. Theme of the day was development partnership – the Indian experience. The opening session was also addressed by H.E Mr. Jagdishwar Goburdhan the high commissioner of Mauritius and deputy chief of mission of Surinam Ms. Ria Sital.
The closing session was addressed by Mrs. Stacey Hinds high commission of Trinidad and Tobago, Mr. Elia Sevutia high commission of Fiji and Narayan Kumar Hony. Director, ARSP.
Theme was introduced by Amb. Anup Mudgal, head, DRRC and an interactive workshop was organized by Vision India foundation. The session was attended by about 30 KIP participants from 9 countries.
On 21st of January 2020 (Tuesday), at the Pravasi Bhawan, Diaspora Research and Resource Centre (DRRC) – Antar Rashtriya Sahayog Parishad (ARSP) hosted an interactive session for the 40 participants of 59th KIP batch from Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, South Africa, and Fiji.
The head of the DRRC provided a detailed briefing to the batch on the contemporary developments in India as also the latest on the Diaspora's activities and performance. Indian Diaspora have performed exceedingly well in all aspects of political, social, economic and technology fields. Indian Diaspora acts as a bridge to connect India with their respective countries where they are residing.

Dr Roger Gopaul, High Commissioner of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago, Mr Nilesh Kumar, Counsellor, Fiji High Commission, and Ms Nishanthini Victor, Second Secretary, High Commission of Sri Lanka, graced the occasion with their presence.
61st Know India Programme was organised by Diaspora Research and Resource Centre- Antar Rashtriya Sahayog Parishad at Malviya Smriti Bhawan on 14 October 2022. Heads of Mission from Fiji, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago grace the occasion with their presence. Eminent Prof Surendra Gambhir from USA also addressed the gathering. Shri M S Patiyal, Director, OIA-II, MEA attended the event and shared the information about government initiatives for the diaspora.
Students and faculty of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College, Delhi University were also present on the occasion. The students and KIP participants interacted with each other and shared their experiences. Towards the end of the programme, certificates of appreciation were also presented to the KIP participants for their participation.
On Thursday, 17 November 2022 Diaspora Research and Resource Centre (DRRC) – Antar Rashtriya Sahayog Parishad (ARSP) hosted 40 participants of 62nd KIP batch from 14 countries- Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, New Zealand, Mauritius, Reunion Island, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, South Africa, Israel, Malaysia, Austria, Portugal and Fiji.
This time the programme was divided into two parts: In the first half, KIP participants were taken for an interactive session with the students of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi University. And in the later half, they had an interactive session at Pravasi Bhawan. The main objective of this session was to offer a wider networking opportunity to the KIP batch. Amb. Virendra Gupta, President, Prof Gopal Arora, Secretary, Shri Narayan Kumar, Hon. Director and Dr Ruchi Verma, Research Fellow, DRRC-ARSP were also present during this event.

The Diaspora Research and Resource Centre (DRRC) of Antar Rashtriya Sahayog Parishad (ARSP) organized an interactive session and workshop on November 16, 2023. The event was attended by 30 participants from eight different countries, including Malaysia, Fiji, Guyana, Mauritius, Myanmar, South Africa, Suriname, and Trinidad & Tobago, who were part of the 68th Know India Program (KIP) delegation. The event was held at the Pravasi Bhawan, and we express our gratitude to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), all honorable diplomatic representatives, and the respective members of ARSP for their support.
The programme of felicitation and interaction with delegates of the 69th Know India Programme on Tuesday 19 December 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Know India Programme (KIP) is a flagship programme of the Ministry of External Affairs for engagement with Indian origin youth diaspora (between 18-35 years) to enhance their awareness about India, its cultural heritage, arts and to familiarise them with various aspects of contemporary India.
ARSP has been regularly hosting the KIP delegations. One of the highlights of the KIP attachment with ARSP is the opportunity it provides to the participants to also interact with the Heads of Mission/other Diplomats representing their countries in Delhi.

On February 13, 2024, the second class of our short-term course 'INDIAN DIASPORA- INTERDISCIPLINARY PERSPECTIVES' was conducted as part of the 73rd Know India Program (KIP). During this session, several distinguished diplomats addressed the group, including His Excellency Dr. Roger Gopaul, His Excellency Mr. H. Dillum - the High Commissioner of the Republic of Mauritius in New Delhi, Mr. Yogesh Jitendar Karan - the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Multi-Ethnic Affairs and Sugar Industry in the Government of Fiji, New Delhi, Amb. Virendra Gupta - the President of ARSP, Prof. Ajay Dubey - from the School of International Relations at JNU, who spoke on the 'Evolution of Indian Diaspora', Amb. Anup Mudgal - the Former Indian High Commissioner to Mauritius, who spoke on 'Diaspora, Geopolitics, and Soft Power', Prof. Gurmohinder Singh - the Principal of SGND Khalsa College, University of Delhi, Prof. Gopal Arora - the Secretary of ARSP, and Sri. Narayan Kumar - the Honorary Director of ARSP.
Diaspora Research and Resource Centre (DRRC) - Antar Rashtriya Sahayog Parishad (ARSP) organized a felicitation and engagement program at Nehru Bhawan, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India on Wednesday 28 February 2024. This felicitation and engagement program and the culmination of our Short-term Term Course (STC) on 'Indian Diaspora: Interdisciplinary Perspectives' were organized combined. The event brought together 40 guests from nine countries. These delegates were part of the 74th Know India Program (KIP). They came from Fiji, Mauritius, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Myanmar, Suriname, South Africa, Malaysia and Sri Lanka.
On July 24, 2024, the Diaspora Research and Resource Centre (DRRC) of Antar Rashtriya Sahayog Parishad (ARSP) hosted a felicitation cum engagement event for the delegates of the 75th Know India Programme (KIP) at Pravasi Bhavan. This batch brought together 39 delegates from nine countries: Fiji, Mauritius, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Myanmar, South Africa, Suriname, Malaysia, and New Zealand. The event started with opening remarks from Prof. Gopal Arora, Secretary of ARSP, expressing gratitude to the Ministry of External Affairs for the opportunity to interact with the KIP delegates. Prof. Arora provided an overview of ARSP and DRRC, emphasizing their mission and the significance of their motto, "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" (The World Is One Family).
On September 3, 2024, the Diaspora Research and Resource Center of Antar Rashtriya Sahayog Parishad hosted a facilitation and engagement program for delegates of the 76th Know India Programme (KIP). The 36 PIO youths from seven different countries, who visited India under this edition, were warmly welcomed and felicitated at Pravasi Bhavan.
The event included an insightful session with senior diplomats: H.E. Mr. Arunkoemar Hardien, Ambassador of the Republic of Suriname, New Delhi; H.E. Shri Jagnnath Sami, High Commissioner of the Republic of Fiji, New Delhi; and Mr. Kayshav Tewari, Second Secretary at the High Commission of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, New Delhi. Additionally, two enriching workshops were conducted: "Identity, Tradition, and Celebration: Insights into Indian Festivals" by Ms. Komal Chhikara, and "Bharatiya History and Leadership" by Ms. Priyanka Sharma. The winners of the quiz were honored with books published by the DRRC, adding a memorable touch to this engaging and educational experience.
DRRC of ARSP organized a felicitation and engagement program on September 30, 2024, at Malviya Smruti Bhawan for the 77th Know India Programme (KIP) delegates. The program featured 39 youths from 15 different countries. An interactive workshop was conducted by Miss Komal Chhikara on "Gandhi’s Legacy in the Diaspora". Diplomats from Mauritius, Fiji, Sri Lanka, Suriname and Zimbabwe, along with ARSP office bearers: Shri Mukesh Agrawal (Vice President), Shri Shyam Parande (Secretary-General), and Prof. Gopal Arora (Secretary) interacted with the delegates.
78th Know India Programme (KIP) Delegation Hosted by DRRC of ARSP On 18th November 2024, the Diaspora Research and Resource Center (DRRC) of Antar Rashtriya Sahayog Parishad (ARSP) hosted the 78th Know India Programme (KIP) delegation at Pravasi Bhawan, New Delhi. 39 participants from 8 countries, including Fiji, Guyana, Malaysia, Mauritius, Myanmar, Suriname, South Africa, and Trinidad and Tobago, explored India's rich cultural heritage and global influence.
Sessions included Ambassador Virendra Gupta, President of ARSP, and Mr. Amit Gupta, Joint Secretary, discussing India's ties with its diaspora. Prof. Shashi Bala’s presentation on ‘Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage of India’ and Miss Komal Chhikara’s talk on ‘Visit Bharat – 2047’ were highlights.
